Same old story, same old outcome

Played a fair bit recently but yesterday went out in the daytime, had a few beers and come home and decimated my bankroll yet again, nuff said.

Won acouple more step tickets on AP, will do a total update every monday from now on. Also playing the free sng's on blue square to try and create something from nothing and again will update complete bankroll situation on mondays.

Away from poker one of my goals is to move home, going to look at a studio flat on the 24th and really hoping its gonna be nice as im desperate to move.

Small Steps, Big Rewards (hopefully)

So its a week into Feburary and things aint been great, I have played a fair bit of poker but unfortunately I seem to turn into a donk when it matters most.

I'm going to concentrate most of my play on the steps sit'n'go's on Absolute Poker, I currently have 1 step 1 ticket, 5 step 2 tickets and 1 step 3 ticket, I donked of my roll whilst drunk so i'm going to make a small deposit and play 100 step 1 games with a few tourneys thrown in at weekends and re-evalute in acouple weeks. I want to go as far as possible in the steps and see if I can win a live seat at the WSOP 2010.

I al also playing in the UK & Ireland poker leagues on Pokerstars, started feb 1st but currently don't sit in the top 100. Pokerstars awards cash prizes for the top 100 every month, even in the play money league so it could be a good way to boost my BR on there. I also played in the Bloggers Championship and managed to win myself a $33 SCOOP ticket so i'm looking forward to playing that in may.

Im still playing on Betfair but donked off my roll, I got £6 in rakeback and currently have got it upto £30 but it is a grind.

The life of a low stakes player isn't exactly glamourous and im so far away from my target of 10k by the year end, still onwards and upwards :)

New Year, New Plan.

Right for my first post of this year I am going to list some of my goals :

Poker Related.

To build a decent bankroll so that i can play midstakes (10k by the end of the year)
To play more live and hopefully qualifiy for WSOP 2010
To study the game more and hopefully this will result in better results
To top the P5's sorting table for my county.


Non Poker Related.

To move home
To improve my relationship status
To enjoy life more and get out and meet more people


All of the above is easily achieveable with alittle will power and the desire to improve.

Quick Update

I haven't wrote on this blog for ages so this is a quick update to say that the year is comming to an end and one of my new year resolutions will be to write much more on here.

I've got other resolutions and I will post them at the start of january 2010.

R.I.P Vickie Goodsell

This is just alittle post to say Rest In Peace to an old friend who I just managed to get back in touch with, we once were a little bit of a item but there were other circumstances that were the reason we really never got it going the way I wished we had. She was the one person in the last 10 years I wished I never lost touch with.

On the 8th of July 2009 Vickie passed away and i'm am deeply saddened by this, were had talked on the phone and arranged to meet-up which i was really looking forward to, I can't believe I won't get to see her again, my thoughts go out to her family and her son, I can't imagine what they are going through but one thing I do know is how sad this has made me.

Rest In Peace Vickie Goodsell, I Love ya. xxx

Quick update

So ive played alittle, some on betfair and some on ladbrokes and made alittle money, Adam from P5's managed to get my Betfair account tagged to P5's and I now get 30-40% rakeback so weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

I did however go on a bender and basically wiped out my bankroll on betfair playing blackjack so gg me but i've made some on ladbrokes and will redeposit to betfair.

BUSTOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (nearly)

So im nearly busto, i haven't stuck to anything i've wrote in the past and have nearly wiped out my bankroll in cash games, i wish i'd actually stick to what i say and really need to take a good hard look in the mirror.

I think part of my problem is jumping from site to site and not really getting a good feel for any specific place, so i'm going to have a home site where i will concentrate most of my play, i dont think in my current predicament that selecting pokerstars or full tilt would be wise so as of this moment my home site is................................................ Betfair Poker. I like the site and have in the past had some moderate success so as i have a positive attitude towards this site it will help in the long run.

I will also have a secondary site but im not exactly sure which it will be, im edging towards UltimateBet but im gonna think about it for a few days and see what site suits my current small bankroll.
